We have now finalised the development of our Reciprocal Concierge Service in South Africa and will be recruiting and training a group of Remote Operators in South Africa.
The first Training Course starts on 31 October 2026. This Personal Development Program consists of 8 modules and covers everything a Remote Operator needs to know to promote the TravelPod™ ecosystem in South Africa.
We hope to attract unemployed people from all walks of life because there is a dire need for more entrepreneurs in the micro-economy.
A typical TravelPod™ has room for a team of three, but it can also be operated by a single individual. It is designed to involve Accommodation Establishments in South Africa to offer an Online Concierge Service to their guests. A Guest simply needs to scan a QR Code and will be taken to the TravelPod™ run by the accommodation provider, and get access to everything to do in the area such as local points of interest, Day trips to explore the area and also adventure and other activities.
TravelPod™ operators attend a training course and gets certified to assist visitors with any enquiries and can also assist with reservations if needed.
TravelPod™ is exclusively available to What The Gravel and are promoted via the Express Ecosystem.
